Principles (“Guiding Principles”) recommendations and expectations. Dr. Liang Xiaohui first pointed out that in the past ten years, the international community has made considerable achievements in implementing the guiding principles and advancing the agenda of business and human rights, but it also faces various huge challenges. He believes that the effective implementation of the Guiding Principles in the next ten years will depend on the continued strengthening of policy guidance and policy consistency, the promotion of SMEs' awareness and implementation of the Guiding Principles, and the better implementation of human rights principles in market-driven mechanisms such as ESG and specifications. The United Nations Forum on Business and Human Rights was established by the United Nations Human Rights Council in 2011 to promote the exchange of experiences and cooperation among all parties in the international community in implementing the Guiding Principles. |
