How does the COVID-19 epidemic affect Chinese overseas investment enterprises and their social responsibility performance? How do these companies deal with the most prominent social responsibility issues, such as labor disputes, rights and interests of vulnerable groups, and relationships between companies and local communities? Further, how do Chinese business owners see the outbreak as a test of their enterprise risk management and business resilience? What support does the Asian textile manufacturing industry need most to get through this crisis? What are the overseas investment prospects of the textile industry after the epidemic? In order to understand and explore these issues in depth, the Social Responsibility Office of China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC), with the assistance of the German Institute for International Cooperation (GIZ), conducted a survey and research involving 85 Chinese-funded enterprises in Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam and Bangladesh. , and a research report will be released at this meeting. It is the third industry association under the China Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, which currently has nearly 300 member companies. Myanmar Chinese Chamber of Commerce Garment BranchThe Myanmar Chinese Chamber of Commerce was officially registered in Myanmar in November 2017. At present, nearly 300 member companies of the Chamber of Commerce have established five branches in the textile and garment industry, real estate and construction industry, IT and communication industry, tourism and service industry, and agriculture. The chamber of commerce and clothing branch and other branches have been practicing the tenet of "communication, restraint and coordination, appeal for rights protection, and service guidance".
