On May 6, 2017, the International Sustainable Fashion Brand Sourcing Salon and the International Fast Fashion Brand Sourcing Matchmaking Meeting was held in Keqiao District, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, the largest textile market in Asia. Qiao Yanjin, director of China Textile Information Center, and other guests were specially invited to attend the event. The following is the original text of Qiao Yanjin's speech at the matchmaking meeting.

Distinguished guests and friends: Good afternoon, everyone!
I am very happy to come to Keqiao, Shaoxing again to participate in the Spring Textile Expo. I also welcome everyone to participate in the international sustainable fashion brand procurement docking salon and international fast fashion brand procurement docking meeting!
Sustainable fashion is a three-dimensional pattern of people-oriented, environmentally friendly and fair competition, and it is the common pursuit of the development of the global textile and garment industry. To build sustainable fashion on a global scale and build a sustainable value chain, it is necessary to form a global industrial chain collaboration, go hand in hand, coordinate the pace, and work together to build an advanced industrial structure and industrial civilization.
  Have friends come from afar? Today's participants include international brands, domestic brands, as well as the vast number of outstanding enterprises in Keqiao China Textile City. Everyone who came to the matchmaking meeting from all directions must have the same idea, that is, to deepen understanding and form cooperation.
Therefore, today's docking is essentially a docking between supply and demand. Specifically, it is reflected in three aspects: the docking of products, the docking of capabilities and the docking of value. If there is a high degree of consistency and agreement between the supply and demand sides at these three levels, cooperation will inevitably be formed, and the cooperation will be continuous and stable; if there is a structural mismatch between the supply and demand sides at these three levels, I am afraid it will be difficult to friction. Fireworks of cooperation. Now I want to talk about the understanding of these three aspects.
First, the docking of products. At present, my country's textile product categories are constantly enriched, the application fields are constantly expanding, and the sales channels are constantly expanding. In order to adapt to the upgrading of the global consumer market and changes in demand, industry enterprises have strengthened product innovation, expanded the production of mid-to-high-end products, and optimized product supply. In terms of product categories, some leading companies have achieved remarkable results in the development of green and safe textiles and smart textiles, forming a complete and diverse product system to enhance and reshape consumer experience. Under the challenges of global manufacturing competition and division of labor, my country's textile and garment enterprises have expanded their sales channels and made full use of both online and offline platforms to reshape consumer experience and form a new retail pattern. Therefore, we specially invited representatives of Amazon, the world's leading business platform, to exchange views on global sales channels and platform construction.
Keqiao China Textile City has gathered thousands of excellent enterprises and merchants, and the competition is extremely fierce. It is particularly important to improve the recognition of enterprises and products. In 2016, the Social Responsibility Office of China National Textile and Apparel Council cooperated with Keqiao China Textile City Construction Management Committee to compile the "Guidelines for Responsible Purchasing", and 343 responsible companies were selected. These 343 companies are driving the upgrading of cluster industries, It plays the role of the mainstay in shaping the global competitive advantage.
Second, the connection of capabilities. We know that world-class brand owners or buyers have higher requirements for product quality and price, and at the same time, in order to ensure the safety and sustainability of the supply chain, suppliers with excellent production and operation capabilities are particularly favored. For example, whether the supplier has sufficient raw material reserve capacity, planned production capacity, employee rights protection capacity, environmental compliance capacity, and even when special raw materials are involved, whether it has passed sustainable product certification and whether it complies with policies to protect animal welfare. At present, more and more international brands have made public commitments. H&M Group, which came to the conference today, released the "2016 Sustainability Report" last month, and also disclosed its sustainable strategy for the global value chain. The Inditex Group, which the ZARA brand belongs to, strengthens the responsibility management of the supply chain, and gradually extends the sustainable requirements of fashion from first-tier suppliers to second-tier suppliers. The responsible behavior of these brands has conveyed to us the current development trend of sustainable fashion in the international market, and is expected to drive the adjustment and change of my country's supply chain in recent years.
In this context, China National Textile and Apparel Council has developed and promoted the "China Textile and Apparel Corporate Social Responsibility Management System (CSC9000T)", hoping to help companies reduce sustainability risks and expand global business opportunities by improving corporate responsibility management capabilities. .
Third, the connection of value. In the era of rapid development of science and technology, people enjoy various conveniences and progress brought by the material world, and at the same time they are also pursuing the comfort and satisfaction of the value world. The connection of sustainable fashion at the highest level is the connection of value, and the fusion of value between the present and the future. It not only satisfies the contemporary people's enjoyment of fashion, but also ensures the ability of our future generations to pursue fashion; it is the value fusion of production and consumption. Reflected in responsible production and sustainable consumption, fashion is the shared value of producers and consumers.
The connection of value is based on the recognition of value and the circulation of value. Keqiao has cultivated the textile market with the largest transaction scale in Asia, thanks to the innovative business acumen and fearless pioneering spirit of Keqiao people. To do business in Keqiao, you need to master the rules of Keqiao; to do business globally, you need to understand the global rules. Keqiao is the source of fashion information, and it also strives to be a new place for fashion value. As early as 2015, the Shaoxing Municipal People's Government issued the "Opinions on Accelerating the Development of the Fashion Industry" and formulated the "Fashion Industry Development Plan in Keqiao District", which shows Keqiao's firm determination to build a "fashion capital". It is hoped that the brand owners participating in the conference today will seriously consider the huge commercial potential of Keqiao and explore opportunities for long-term cooperation.
Ordinary people wait while outstanding people take advantage. We textile people have both down-to-earth diligence and the feeling of looking up at the stars. We have to walk with our heads down and look up at the sky. It is hoped that the outstanding enterprises participating in the conference will grasp the sustainable fashion trend and create business brilliance together.
