Adidas, as one of the first brands to join the Family-Friendly Factory (FFF) initiative of CNTAC, has been actively promoting social responsibility in its supply chain. In July 2024, Shaanxi White River Apparel Co., Ltd officially joined the second phase of the China National Textile and Apparel Council's FFF project (FFF Phase II). In early November 2024, an expert team from the Social Responsibility Office ofCNTAC reviewed the company's existing policies and regulations. Based on feedback from interviews with employees and managers, the team provided suggestions for establishing a family-friendly factory and clarified the directions for subsequent improvements. At the end of December 2024, the expert team conducted specialized training on family-friendly themes for the company's management and employee representatives. In the first half of 2025, the company improved its family-friendly factory policies in accordance with the previous assessment recommendations and training outcomes. It also revised the Employee Handbook and supporting management systems accordingly. Through policy revisions, employee training and dissemination, and the organization of themed activities, the company has gradually integrated the concept of family friendliness deeply into its management system.
As a traditional agricultural county, almost every household in Baishui County has farmland. While workers come to the factory for their jobs, they often need to be distracted by issues related to crop planting, harvesting, and sales. To alleviate the living pressures of employees and address problems such as outdated agricultural techniques, labor shortages during the busy farming season, and the difficulty of selling agricultural products, the company proactively launched the "Employee Family Agricultural Support Program". This initiative integrates factory construction with family support, creating a family-friendly working environment that is tailored to local conditions.

Traditional farming experience often falls short when facing new challenges such as crop variety improvement and pest and disease control. The company's trade union has actively collaborated with the local agricultural technology station to provide customized agricultural technology training for employees' farming family members. Instead of being a "one-way lecture," the training focuses more on "field problem-solving," with agricultural experts directly entering the orchards and wheat fields of employees' homes to teach relevant techniques hands-on.
During the busy farming season, there is often a shortage of labor. To address this, the company established an agricultural work mutual aid group. It calls on employees to use their weekends to organize teams based on collected information about labor needs in the fields. These teams take turns assisting with agricultural work at each other's farms. This mutual aid model not only solves the labor shortage problem but also fosters a spirit of unity and friendship among employees.

To address the issue of slow sales and difficulties in converting agricultural products into cash for employees' families, the company organized a "Love Vegetable and Fruit Market"at the factory gate, providing a convenient direct sales platform for them. Around 5 p.m. every day, the "Love Vegetable and Fruit Market" at the factory gate becomes lively. Employees' family members bring fresh vegetables and fruits from their own farms to sell at the designated free stalls. The company assigns dedicated personnel to maintain good order and a clean environment, ensuring that the market is both bustling and orderly. This small market not only solves the problem of excess agricultural product sales but also becomes an emotional bond connecting the factory and the families. In addition, the company actively collaborates with the county's commerce bureau, leveraging government resources to connect with local e-commerce platforms and buyers from other regions. This effort aims to create more sales channels for the agricultural products of employees' families, bringing high-quality agricultural products from Baishui to thousands of households.

In addition to these initiatives, the company has systematically launched an ‘employee children's education support program’. To address the issue of employees being unable to take care of and educate their children during winter and summer vacations, the company has partnered with a public childcare institution located across from the factory. Through special funding subsidies, the company offers customized childcare classes for employees' children. The operating hours of the childcare classes have been extended from the original ‘8 a.m. to 5 p.m.’to ‘7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.,’aligning with the employees' working hours. The classes accept children aged 3 to 14, covering most school-age children of employees. During July and August this year, more than 70 children of employees participated in this program. The company provided model aircraft equipment for the children and organized weekly movie screenings to enrich their summer vacation experience in the childcare classes.

The company has also introduced multi-level education incentives. These include providing school entry gift packages for employees' children who win various awards, establishing university entrance scholarships to encourage long-term academic development, and funding primary schools with a large number of employees' children. The company also donates materials to local vocational schools.

Throughout the project, Yanzhong Clothing has started from the real needs of employees and their families, solving their worries and creating a win-win or even multi-win situation. The company has gained a more stable workforce and higher employee loyalty, with better guarantees for production efficiency and product quality. For local agriculture, the company has also contributed its part to helping employees and their families grow and sell better agricultural products, making community relations more harmonious. |
