Organization Profile:
Office for Social Responsibility of China National Textile and Apparel Council(CNTAC), (its legal entity is Chinese Textile Information Center(CTIC), attached with the SASAC as a public institution) and a member of CNTAC, since 2005, has committed to enhance the responsible competitiveness of Chinese textile and garment industry, in aligning and collaborating the related resources and energy of the stakeholders and partnership in the global textile supply chain and partners jointly towards sustainable development.

To minimize significant adverse impacts on human health and the environment of the textile industry in China, CNTAC created the “Chemicals Stewardship 2020” initiative, initiated by Office for Social Responsibility of CNTAC and supported by CTIC in 2016.

Chemicals Stewardship 2020 Initiative is a cross-industry policy framework, action plan and mechanism and has as its overall objective the achievement of the continuous improvement in and achievement of good chemicals management throughout the textile supply chain so that, by 2020, chemicals management and risk control systems will be widely established by the chinese textile and apparel industry. This “2020 goal” was adopted by the coming 13th five-year plan of the development of the Chinese textile industry.

Chemicals Stewardship 2020 Initiative is distinguished by its comprehensive scope and objectives grouped under the themes as innovation and technology, harmonizing standardization, stakeholder engagement, capacity-building, and information exchange.

Primary responsibilities for this position include:
·Validation of chemical environmental analytical data in accordance with Chemicals Stewardship 2020 Programs to ensure its objectives are met
·Preparation and Conduct the data management system of Chemicals improvement Exchange (CiE), data usability reports, and Chemicals Environmental Management project.
·Coordination of training, environmental laboratory services and field sampling events with chemicals producers and dyeing houses.
·Management and reporting of environmental analytical data and chemical data through multiple software platforms
·Participation in occasional field investigations and collection of environmental samples
·Additional duties may be assigned

Job Requirements:
·B.S. Chemistry/Environmental Science or similar field
·A minimum of 1 year of experience in environmental consulting or laboratory analytical chemistry
·Detail-oriented and must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and interface with multiple project managers
·Enthusiastic, self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary groups
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·Familiarity with chemical analytical methods and data validation guidelines/tools
·Good knowledge of GHS and SDS database/label
·Experience with analytical database management using chemical toxicity database ect.
·Experience with SQL/VBA desired.
·Fluency in office productivity software such as Microsoft Word and Excel required
·Commitment to working safely and adhering to all health and safety protocols
·Environment health and safety training is preferred
