Considering that there are still many challenges for female employees in some Southeast Asian countries in terms of employment, equal pay for equal work, and safe working environment, in 2019, the China Textile Federation Office and the Asia Foundation cooperated to carry out "overseas" activities in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Vietnam and other countries. Investing in Enterprises to Build Gender-Sensitive Enterprise Systems” project. The project aims to reduce the gender gap of local companies within Chinese-invested companies by developing gender-sensitive management tools appropriate to the laws and social culture of the host country, and through capacity building, while introducing corporate responsibility practices with a gender perspective. In July, the project carried out capacity building for senior managers of Chinese-funded enterprises in Cambodia and Vietnam; in December, training for employees was held in Cambodia and Vietnam. The training comprehensively improved business owners and managers' ability to anticipate, manage and respond to gender-related issues.
