In November 2015, China Minmetals and Chemicals importers and exporters formulated and released the "Guidelines for Due Diligence in China's Responsible Mineral Supply Chains".
This initiative implements a risk-based five-step framework for supply chain due diligence, aiming to identify, prevent and reduce risks that may contribute to conflict, serious human rights violations and serious negligence for enterprises in the mineral supply chain, and ensure that enterprises in the entire mineral resource supply chain and responsible operation during the project life cycle to achieve common development with stakeholders.
