On November 5, 2022, the 5th Hongqiao International Economic Forum, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and organized by five institutions including the  China National Textile And Apparel Council, was successfully held at the Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center. Zhang Yunming, a member of the Party Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Zhang Wei, a member of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor, attended the forum and delivered speeches. Chen Dapeng, Vice President of the  China National Textile And Apparel Council, attended the forum.

This Corporate Social Responsibility Forum brings together government officials, international organizations, corporate executives, and representatives of experts and scholars to jointly explore how relevant parties can practice corporate social responsibility in the new situation, cooperate to promote sustainable development of the industrial chain, and maintain the security and stability of the global industrial chain supply chain through an "online+offline" participation method. The forum deeply elaborated on the importance of new development concepts for global sustainable supply chains through forms such as social responsibility reports, sustainable development reports, and ESG information disclosure from relevant industries and enterprises.

The Hongqiao International Economic Forum is an important component of the China International Import Expo. The theme of the fifth Hongqiao Forum is to stimulate new momentum for global openness, share new opportunities for cooperative development.   The industrial chain supply chain formed based on international division of labor is an important global public product, which is an important link connecting various countries around the world and driving global economic growth. The smooth and stable supply chain of the industrial chain is an important guarantee for the healthy operation of the economy and the improvement of public welfare. China's textile industry is an advantageous industry for international cooperation and integrated development, and an important force in maintaining the resilience and stability of the global textile industry chain supply chain. In recent years, global cooperation in the industry has continued to deepen, focusing on promoting the construction of an open economy, especially around the green development and responsible transformation of the industrial chain value chain, accelerating cross-border layout and cooperation, and taking practical actions to promote the construction of a safe, stable, efficient, open, inclusive, and mutually beneficial global textile industry chain supply chain system, creating global value and serving the global industry.
