As a pioneer in the promotion and construction of social responsibility in the Chinese industry, while continuously promoting the textile and clothing industry to assume corporate social responsibility and achieve sustainable development, China National Textile and Apparel Council also supports and assists other industry associations actively to take their corporate social responsibility or create the sustainable development guidelines or standards ,or assume other forms of corporate social responsibility and create different forms of the sustainability industry norms and working mechanisms.
At the end of August 2022, China National Textile and Apparel Council and China National Forest Products Industry Association signed a memorandum of cooperation on promoting sustainable forestry development in Beijing. Based on the principle of "friendly cooperation for promoting development" and a highly consistent understanding of social responsibility and sustainable development concepts, both parties have decided to fully leverage their respective advantages and carry out comprehensive cooperation in multiple fields, various levels, and different forms.
According to the agreement, both parties will work together to accelerate establishing and improving of corporate social responsibility norms and working mechanisms in the international forest product industry.China National Textile and Apparel Council will provide various forms of support and services to the China Forestry Industry Association in internationally focused hot areas such as management of industry social responsibility, human rights, sustainable supply chain, and other project cooperation, including professional guidance, technical consultation, and project cooperation. It will continuously expand diversified cooperation opportunities and contribute to the sustainable development of the global forestry supply chain.
